The Gifts of Crows
Crows form bonds and bring gifts in exchange for food? Wow. This story is truly amazing.
I am equally amazed to see the endorsment of a scientist near the end of the article, talking about being able to form these bonds and it being more common than you would think. However, the gifts-- the intricate and special gifts-- are the most intriguing point!
The camera lens-- she lost it while taking a photo of a bald eagle. Away from her home. It was put on the edge of her birdbath that she feeds the Crows out of every morning. Wow. For real?
The symbolism in that is so amazing-- A Bald Eagle working with the Crows maybe to return this lost cap to the little girl who provides sustenence to their kind?
You must read about it yourself. Here
After reading about the girl, I became interested in hearing more from John Marzluff, Wildlife Expert and Author of "Gift of the Crows."
Found this-
Wow. Facial recognition.
Crows.
Mockingjay, anyone?
Ahem.
So then I watched this.
(P.S.- If you've made it this far, you're a bird brain.)
See-- it wasn't an insult. Birds have intelligent brains. Speaking? Way to go, Edgar!
What do you think?
Crows are pretty interesting.
We have a murder of crows that chill outside our window every morning. And a window that opens right near where we can feed them...
Expect and update with pictures of our crows soon!
